STANTON MOORE'S 14TH ANNUAL
SPIRIT OF NEW ORLEANS DRUM CAMP

- SONO 14-

DECEMBER 11, 12 & 13, 2026

WHERE

New Orleans Jazz Museum

400 Esplanade Ave New Orleans LA 70116

WHEN

Friday, Saturday & Sunday
December 11, 12 & 13, 2026

This camp is for players of all skill levels! Each attendee will have the option to rent a practice kit or bring their own practice pad or practice pad kit. There will be four one and a half hour sessions each day. Some of the topics we will cover will be several styles and beats that I believe you'll need to know when you are playing with people in the real world. Some of you may have encountered some of these grooves and may even feel comfortable with them already. If so, you can "check that" off your personal checklist. But, I'll also be demonstrating some embellishments and nuances that even the more advanced players can work on to enhance what they are already able to play. I will be sending PDFs in advance of the material that we will cover.

I will have specific topics to cover (TBD) but of course will be fielding any questions you may have on any other subjects you may want to cover.

Private Lessons will be available for an additional fee to be paid at the camp. To schedule your private lessons, please email Adam Kelly davidadamkelly@gmail.com

After you sign up, you will be redirected to a camp attendee information page with a form that should be filled out, some of my New Orleans suggestions and pdfs of some of the material we will be covering.

HOTELS, TRANSPORTATION AND RESTAURANTS

HOTELS:

For hotels, I recommend staying walking distance to The New Orleans Jazz Museum. These are some great options:

Airbnbs are also an option nearby.

HOW TO GET AROUND:

Uber is very prevalent in the city and they are easy to take from the Airport to your accommodations. I recommend using Uber over taxis in New Orleans.

RESTAURANTS:

CLOSE TO CAMP
Louisiana Pizza Kitchen and Italian Barrel are across the street and El Gato Negro, Port of Call and Coop's Place are all nearby.

For coffee and light breakfast, Envie is across the street.
